CAMERA

The Samsung Galaxy Grand comes with an 8MP camera capable of capturing photos at a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels means full HD. It has an LED flash to assist it in low lighting conditions or at the night. The good feature you are having in the stock Camera app that you can pick any four shortcuts to put in the camera mode. It made you damn easier to access the frequent options chosen by you to assist in the handling. Another one is the Setting option which you will find always attached. You have various kind of features like: touch focus, smile shot, continuous shot, and panorama mode and can snap photos during video recording but at only 720p resolution not I the 1080p because it will access the device full power to give it greater fps.

BATTERY

  • Grand has Li-Ion battery of 2100 mAh.
  • It gives you talk time backup of 10 hrs (3G).
  • And in Stand By mode of 440 hrs (3G).UI (USER INTERFACE)
The Samsung Galaxy Grand runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean preloaded from Samsung. This is also skinned with the latest TouchWiz launcher and dubbed Nature UX. Thus the UI is quite similar to that you will find in Galaxy S III mini and S II Plus. The Jelly Bean made a charm to Grand and Samsung made the beyond the obvious benefits to the user experience compared to stock Android. They have taken advantage of the same premium combination that powers the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note II and made a Mid-range monster.

Locksceen

The lockscreen in Grand have “tap and drag in any direction to unlock” mode which can can be thus changed as it runs on Android. And there’re ripples accompanied by water-drop sound as you drag your finger through the screen to unlock. Additional unlock routines provided also – motion, face and voice among them. You have three customizable lockscreen shortcuts, and you can drag one to activate the corresponding app. Grand contains only three is rather odd since on the Galaxy S III there are five for the same.

Homescreen

The notification area is quite featured which offers a quick toggles for Wi-Fi, GPS, Silent mode, Screen rotation, Bluetooth. You can swipe to the side to get even more options for accessing like: Mobile data, blocking mode, Power saving and even Multi-Window support which was a great reason for the achievement of Note II. The down side it toggles for the brightness slider, which is thus completed with an automatic mode checkbox. There are also a couple of other useful things you could notice like the Settings shortcut in the upper right corner, the time/date to its left and the carrier name at the bottom.

Widgets

Jelly Bean comes with a selection of widgets, with some custom additions by Samsung. The widgets are resizable too. Widgets automatically swiped when you’re reorganizing the homescreen of the device.

Task Switcher

Once you get several apps running, you can use the task switcher to go back and forth between them. It’s a Jelly Bean-style vertical list with a screenshot and a name for each app. Swiping an app sideways removes it from the list. There are three buttons at the bottom of the list. One to bring out Samsung’s task manager. One to launch Google Now. Kill all apps button to end all the task running.

DUAL SIM UI

The dual-SIM interface is what’s been added to this particular Galaxy. Allowing you to select which SIM card you wish to dial numbers from (which displays as a number on the taskbar), as well as which SIM’s data service network to use. You can also quickly switch between both SIM cards from the notification area.

MEDIA INTERFACE

Gallery

The Samsung Galaxy Grand comes with the default Jelly Bean Gallery with some additional TouchWiz experience which makes it quite good. Besides Album view, photos can also be sorted by Location, Time, Person (photos with tagged faces) and Group. When viewing a single photo, you’ll find several sharing shortcuts and a delete button above the photo make is a default function available in Jelly Bean OS.

Music Player

Galaxy Grand employs the same TouchWiz-ed music player of Music on the device as well as for other connected device. It has enabled equalizer presets along with the sound-enhancing SoundAlive technology, which features 7.1 channel virtualization which is now Omni present in Samsung Devices. Grand also offers you the new Music square feature which is quite similar to the SensMe feature found on some Sony smartphones. It automatically rates a song as exciting or calm, passionate or joyful and places those tracks on a square. Songs on devices connected to your Wi-Fi network are as easy to get to as locally stored songs.

Video Player

In the Video Player of the Grand It offers several view modes – grid, list, folders and nearby devices (which accesses DLNA devices). You can pinch-zoom the video window to adjust its size of the video in the video player. The video player lets you squeeze the best viewing experience out of the screen – you can adjust video brightness, Auto play next, play speed, SoundAlive and enable subtitles.
Thank you ...... Have a happy Jelly bean!
